Kiyomizu Dera Temple, Kyoto
Back in 2005 when I first saw Kiyomizu Dera Temple, it took my breath away, seeing this wooden structure jutting out overlooking Kyoto. I completely fell in love with it and knew I would visit it again and I did. As you can see from the video, it had been raining and continued to rain, only light rain. I had gone there in the morning hoping that it would be empty but when I got there I saw 5 coach loads of school children on a school visit which made me think about my school trips, this one clearly beats all of them!

What started as a challenge to film in difficult high contrast scenes turned into long sessions and a mini film of these ancient trees. This video is motion control time lapse of the enchanted California coastal Redwoods.

I hope this inspires people to explore the beautiful outdoors. While Redwoods have a special majesty about them, one can find magic in nature everywhere.
